I have been interested in the intersection of science, faith and Biblical interpretation for over fifty years. Ever since my retirement as an ordained minister in an evangelical church I felt God calling me to devote a major block of time to study and then help others with these issues.
I have amassed a large library of books, DVDs and classroom material which I have studied extensively. I have attended conferences on Faith and Science and witnessed the wide diversity of Christians who have made their peace with God creating all life through the mechanisms of evolution. I listen to the BioLogos podcast weekly and visit their website religiously. I am attempting to write a fictional book with fantasy time travel elements for young-earth/six-day creationists.
Now my great desire is to reach out and have dialogue with Christians of all ages—but especially young people—who are struggling in their faith or their fidelity to the scientific method because of these issues. I do not pretend to have all the answers. But because of my research, I believe I can help navigate these difficult waters with you with great confidence, without being dogmatic or preachy. I am willing to listen to anyone and anyone’s point of view. But to save time, I'm not interested in sustaining an argument for the sake of arguing. I can, however, humbly give you some direction or point you to resources where you can fill in gaps of your own knowledge. I hope this blog and our interaction can be a helpful resource to you along your journey.
