I have been deeply interested in the intersection of science, faith, and Biblical interpretation for over fifty years. Ever since my retirement as an ordained minister in an evangelical church, I felt God calling me to devote a significant block of time to study these topics and help others navigate them. This journey has led me to explore the rich landscape of Christian dialogue surrounding faith and science.
Over the years, I have amassed a large library of books, DVDs, and classroom materials that I have studied extensively. I’ve attended conferences on faith and science, where I witnessed the diverse perspectives of Christians who have reconciled their beliefs with the understanding that God created all life through the mechanisms of evolution. I listen to the BioLogos podcast weekly and visit their website religiously. Currently, I am attempting to write a fictional book with fantasy time travel elements aimed at young-earth/six-day creationists.
My great desire is to engage in Christian dialogue with individuals of all ages—especially young people—who are struggling with their faith or their commitment to the scientific method due to these complex issues. I do not claim to have all the answers. However, through my research, I believe I can help guide you through these challenging waters with confidence, without being dogmatic or preachy. I am open to hearing anyone's point of view but prefer not to engage in arguments for the sake of arguing. Instead, I can humbly offer direction or recommend resources to fill in any gaps in your knowledge. I hope this blog and our interactions can serve as a helpful resource on your journey.
